Construction at the East Sonora Bypass Project on Highway 108 will start again tomorrow. The decision was made this morning to get the work going again after the County Board of Supervisors met with representatives of the Mi-Wuk Tribal Council and CalTrans. A new design, which involved moving the proposed Hess Avenue interchange to an area away from buried indian artifacts was the solution to get the stalled project moving again. Construction on the long-awaited road work was stopped last month when workers found the artifacts at the bypass site.
