“”Three Strikes”” Law Seeks Appeal

Following the decision made yesterday by a California Court of Appeals that the “Three Strikes-You´re Out” law was unconstitutional, California Secretary of State, Bill Jones, also the legislative author of the bill, says he will go after the Attorney General to agressively and quickly seek an overturn from the US Supreme Court.
Jones says “With the three strikes, we gave repeat serious felons three choices..clean up, go to jail, or leave the state. They have been doing all 3 and the crime rate has plummeted because of it.” The bill has shown a crime reduction of more than double the crime drop experienced by the rest of the nation.
