A Costly Fire Season Over

The Tuolumne calaveras CDF office officially ended fire season today for the area. 2001 was one of the most damaging fire seasons in nearly 10 years. CDF crews fought 431 blazes this year including five major wildfires, totalling over 30 thousand acres. The total cost to fight the fires is set at 25 million dollars.
