Tragic Accident Prompts Crack-Down

The California Highway Patrol will be cracking down on unsafe big-rig drivers after a deadly pile-up this week took the lives of four people and an infant. C-H-P Commissioner Spike Helmick says he will use a 1-point-2 million-dollar state grant in an effort to reduce fatalities.
