Upgrading School Technology

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Technology Services Department is upgrading their internet services and providing a lot more for county schools. Tuolumne County Superintendent Joe Silva says the upgrade will happen in the upcoming months, as part of the CVIN/CENIC collaborative project. Silva has a new blog with details about several projects the County’s Technology team is involved with.

The Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools (TCSOS) provides a county level Technology Services Department for the County’s eleven school districts and their schools. The Technology Department’s team provides many things including internet service, email hosting, tech support, and internet content filtering for districts and schools in order to comply to the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). County (and state) schools have been participating in the Smarter Balanced Field Test, an online computer based replacement for standardized testing (STAR tests). The office also provides skills classes open to educators and the general public for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Read more about what technology the schools have upgraded and plan to upgrade in Silva’s blog “Technology At Tuolumne Schools.
