Deceased Man Identified

Sonora, CA — The investigation continues into the case involving a man found dead near railroad tracks behind the Junction Shopping Center.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office has now identified the individual as 63-year-old Steven Louis Limpo. He was a transient resident of Tuolumne County. Autopsy and toxicology results are still pending.
The Sheriff’s Office earlier indicated that the death is considered suspicious, given the location, and trauma discovered to Mr. Limpo. We will pass along more information when it is released by authorities.
