Angels City Space Needs On Short Agenda
Angels Camp, CA – Due to a short agenda at the City of Angels City Council’s next meeting, Tuesday, March 17, if the luck of the Irish be with it, business may be brief.
Without a closed session ahead of it, the regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Angels Fire Hose (1404 Vallecito Road). Of the two items on its regular agenda, the first is a required-by-law public hearing held annually for residents of the incorporated city to share any unmet transportation needs with Calaveras Council of Governments Transportation Planner Amber Collins.
The council will also consider approving a contractor letter agreement to secure a space needs assessment for city facilities, at an estimated cost of $8,500. According to city officials, the council directed staff to develop an analysis while it was in negotiations for the potential sale of the city-owned former Hydrox property as a Mark Twain Health Care Center expansion site.
Under the proposed scope, the contractor, locally based Aspen Street Architects would document use of all existing city space; visit all city departments to determine space use; interview city managers and staff for input in developing current requirements; and establish future space needs. Subsequently, the contractor would compile a report of findings and recommendations, such as for sharing support services.
