Update: July Ends In Heat Wave & Thunderstorms

According to the National Weather Service, warm overnight lows in the Mother Lode will continue through this weekend. Additional fire starts will be a possibility in the mountains due to scattered thunderstorm activity.
This is due to monsoonal moisture which has been spreading northward and will continue to affect the Sierra Nevada through Monday.
