Update: Fatal Crash HWY 108
Update at 5:45 p.m.: The CHP reports two people were inside the SUV when it flipped over on Highway 108 near Green Springs Road and then went down an embankment. One person was able to get out of the vehicle but emergency personnel had to free the other individual from the wreckage, according to the CHP. CPR was given but the person succumbed to their injuries. Their name is not being released pending notification of kin. The CHP reports Animal Control was called in to pick up three midsize dogs that were inside the vehicle. All survived but there is no word on their conditions. The accident happen around 4:20 p.m.
Original post at 5:05 p.m.: Jamestown, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a fatal solo-vehicle crash on Highway 108 outside of Jamestown west of Green Springs Road.
The CHP reports an SUV overturned and went off the roadway. An individual was trapped inside and emergency workers had to extricate him from the vehicle. The CHP reports emergency responders gave CPR to the individual but the person died at the scene. The person’s name is not being released pending family notification.
The CHP is asks motorists in the area to use caution as there is plenty of activity in the area. Three midsize dogs were in the SUV there is no word on their condition at this time.
