Race For The Ribs Tomorrow
A new fundraiser for Tuolumne County Search and Rescue will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the Westside Property in Tuolumne City.
Mark Banks, Spokesperson and member of the Tuolumne County Search and Rescue Committee, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
“Race for the Ribs, A Sierra Adventure Obstacle Run And Rib Cook-Off” is a brand new event that will help raise money for the Search and Rescue team.
Individuals or teams made up of two, three or four people can participate in the Sierra Adventure Obstacle Run. The courses themselves and what is involved will remain a mystery until Saturday.
The rest of the day includes the barbecue rib cook-off, hots dogs, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, silent auctions, demonstrations, an Oktoberfest beergarden and local wineries.
The cost is $18 at the door. The cost to race is an additional $20. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
