Collecting Toys For Kids This Holiday Season

Sonora, CA — Sonora area CHP officers will kick-off a toy drive Friday morning to benefit foster children in the Mother Lode.
Spokesperson Faustino Pulido says the CHP’s mascot “Chipper” will be on hand this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at three Tuolumne County vehicle dealerships. The toy drive will run from 10am-4pm on Friday at the Sonora-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealership, on Saturday from noon until 4pm at Sierra Motors and Sunday from noon until 4pm at Sonora Ford.
Community members can drop off new toys during those time windows. The CHP asks that the gifts remain unwrapped so that volunteers can determine the proper age group for the presents.
