Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors recognized the retiring Jennifer Clarke for her 31 years of service.

She was hired as Animal Control Division’s Health Technician in 1986 and was promoted to Animal Control Manager in 1996. The Supervisors praised Clarke for her leadership during emergencies, such as the 1987 Stanislaus Complex Fire and 2013 Rim Fire.

She also provided oversight of the 1998 move to the new Jamestown Animal Control Building, and has spoken in Sacramento about legislation that impacts rural communities. In addition, she has fostered communications and cooperation among the various animal welfare organizations in the county. She is also the founder and Executive Director for the Friends of Animal Control organization, a local non-profit group.

The Supervisors voted unanimously to approve a proclamation in honor of her service to the county.
