Update: The Storms Continue

Sponsored by:

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Mariposa County, the Yosemite National Park Valley floor and the central San Joaquin Valley, through 10 AM this (Wednesday) morning.

There is still the potential for heavy rainfall, so flooding caused by excessive rainfall remains possible.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Additionally, a Winter Weather Advisory will also remain in effect until 10 AM this morning, for the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada.

Snow continues at times.

The snow levels range from 4,000 to 5,000 feet.

Additional snow accumulations will range from one to three inches.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
