Update at 2:39 p.m.: A hit-and-run crash at the Mono Way and Hess Avenue intersection in East Sonora that was blocking the eastbound lane has been cleared and traffic is moving freely again. CHP officers searched the area for the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended another car, but so far no arrest has been made. Luckily, there were no injuries in this wreck. Update at 1:30 p.m.: First responders remain on the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Mono Way, a hit-and-run. It was originally reported as a rear-end crash with a child injured, but now the CHP reports no injuries in the wreck involving a Toyota Rav4 SUV. It happened at the Hess Avenue intersection just after 12:30 p.m. The CHP reports that the driver of one of the vehicles left the scene on foot and officers are currently searching the area for that driver. The wreckage is blocking the eastbound lane, with officers directing one-way traffic. There is plenty of activity in the area, so motorists may want to find an alternative route.

Original post at 12:57 p.m.: East Sonora, CA — First responders are on the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Mono Way, where a child has been injured.

The crash happened at the Hess Avenue intersection in East Sonora. Reportedly, the driver of one of the vehicles left the scene on foot after rear-ending the other vehicle. The child was in the car that was rear-ended.
