Utica Park Update Among Angels Camp Council Meeting Items
Angels Camp, CA — Several items will go before the Angels Camp City Council later today.
Early in the meeting, the council will hear an update from City Planner Amy Augustine on the Utica Park Expansion Project. The park is going through an overhaul in an effort to turn it into a regional hub, but there have been some project delays. Immediately afterward, there will be a vote of the council on whether to expand the construction contract with Boyer Construction by an additional $132,000 to purchase equipment and materials needed for the outdoor gym planned at the park. It would bring the construction contract up to around $2.7 million.
Other items include a presentation by Interim City Administrator Steve Williams about the draft City Officials Handbook, and a discussion about what to do with the vacant former city hall building at 584 South Main Street.
Today’s meeting (October 15) starts at 5 pm at the Angels Fire House at 1404 Vallecito Road with a closed session portion related to labor negotiations. The regular portion of the meeting, with the items mentioned above, will start at 6 pm.
