Update: Two Vehicle Crash Backing Up Traffic on Mono Way
Update at 6:45 p.m.: The CHP reports that the crash involved a pickup versus another vehicle. Tow crews are on the scene working to remove the wreckage from the roadway, which should be completely reopened in the next 15 minutes.
Original post at 6:30 p.m.: Sonora, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a two-vehicle crash that is impacting traffic during the evening commute in Sonora along Mono Way.
The CHP reports that wreckage from the collision is blocking one lane of the roadway near Draper Mine Road. One of the vehicles went off the roadway into a ditch. Officers are directing one-way traffic, which is backed up to Soulsbyville Road in one direction and Standard Road in the other.
An ambulance has been called to the scene, but there is no word on injuries. We will keep you updated as more information comes into the news center.
