Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce Seeks New CEO

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The CEO of the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce is leaving that post to head up another county agency.

Current CEO Staci Johnston has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Calaveras Mariposa Community Action Agency (CMCAA). She states, “I am honored to have served in my capacity as CEO for the past 4 1/2 years and feel blessed to have worked with many individuals, businesses and organizations that are striving to make Calaveras County a beautiful place to live, work, play and do business.”

Johnston will stay on until April 26th to help the board in finding her replacement and possibly even assist with their training. If no one is hired by that deadline, Board President Mark Luster will become the Interim CEO.

The Board of Directors praised Johnston and Luster remarked, “Staci has been a tremendous asset in laying the foundation for our robust future and we applaud her decision to pursue another growth opportunity. When people grow and create new opportunities for themselves and their families this is truly a measure of success for everyone involved.”

Luster will oversee the transition and during that time the Chamber office and the Calaveras Business Resource Center will remain open. The board is now seeking a new CEO. Questions concerning the job can be directed to (209) 754-5400.
