Two Injured In Crash
View VideoSonora, CA – Two people were injured in a three vehicle accident on Highway 49 at Columbia Way.
CHP Officer Scott Taylor reports that a blue pickup truck driven by Robert Ambrose of Sonora collided head-on with a silver Chrysler minivan driven by Jill Morris of Sonora. Morris and a juvenile in her vehicle were taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center to treat minor injuries.
Officer Taylor reported that the reason Ambrose swerved into oncoming traffic was avoid a car stopped in front of him. Ambrose also clipped a Red Ford Escape driven by Justine Jones of Angels Camp. Neither Jones nor Ambrose needed medical attention. The accident happened shortly after 8am and slowed traffic between Sonora and Columbia.
The video shows CHP vehicles pushing the pickup truck out of the road as part of the accident scene clean up.
