District 5 Candidate Forum

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA — Tomorrow evening TCFACTS will host a candidate forum for Tuolumne County Supervisor District 5 at the Jamestown Community Hall.

The confirmed participants in the District 5 Forum include Karl Rodefer, Jim O’Neil, Michael Macomber and Patricia Adams. Each were given a list of questions related to Growth, Financial Management, Goals and Objectives, Community Involvement, Motivation, Constitutionality and have responded in writing. According to President of the TCFACTS, David Titchenal, most of the questions will be addressed as time allows during the forum, candidates will get a chance to respond to each other, and to questions from the audience. The Forum will be conducted by moderator John Freer. It runs from 6-9pm.

TCFACTS stands for “Following America’s Constitution in Today’s Society, Tuolumne County”. It is a non-partisan local organization whose mission is to promote Constitutional education in the community. The objective of the forum is to provide a community event to acquaint voters with the views and qualifications of the candidates.

TCFACTS chose the date even though it occurs prior to the end of the candidate filing period because, as Titchenal states, “Once the filing date is closed it becomes very difficult to find a time and place to hold these forums due to the many different organizations that are vying for the candidates time.” Titchenal plans another forum for District 5 candidates soon to be held in Columbia and a District 1 forum will be held on March 9th.
