Relief At The Pump
Sonora, CA — Gas prices continue to decline leading up to the busy summer travel season.
AAA Northern California reports that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded has dropped five cents over the past month. It is now $4.21 in the Golden State.
The myMotherLode.com gas price section shows that regular unleaded ranges from $4.03 to $4.29.
“Global economic concerns have helped to pressure oil prices lower,” says Matt Skryja, AAA Spokesperson. “Investors buying behavior continues to have the largest impact on prices. They are looking for real or perceived impacts to supply and demand, so debt issues in Greece and France have been a concern, as a depressed economy can mean decreased demand for oil and gas.”
San Francisco has the highest average price in the state, at $4.29. The national average is $3.76, down 16 cents from last month.
