Don Pedro Relicensing Meetings
Modesto, CA– Relicensing the Don Pedro Reservoir on the Tuolumne River will be the subject of two meetings tomorrow in Turlock and Modesto.
The meetings will outline what both the Modesto and Turlock irrigation districts face in getting a new license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and how much water must be released to enhance fish habitat in the lower Tuolumne.
The releases could affect recreation on and around the reservoir and the amount of water available to irrigate and generate power.
The first public meeting is Wednesday at 9 am in the Event Center at California State University, Stanislaus, 801 W. Monte Vista in Turlock. The second meeting is Wednesday night at 7 pm in Ballroom 3 of the Double Tree hotel, 1150 Ninth Street in Modesto.
