Missing Plane Found In The Sierra
Search crews have found the wreckage of a small plane flown by a Napa County winery owner that disappeared on a flight from Nevada to Tracy, California earlier this week.
The Associated Press reports that ground crews found the single-engine aircraft flown by 78-year-old Robert Brown in a remote area of the Sierra Nevada yesterday afternoon.
The crash site is within the El Dorado National Forest, about 80 miles southeast of Sacramento. Amador County authorities say Brown’s personal effects, including his passport were found in the wreckage.
Positive identification of the body is pending.
