A Mother Lode Fourth Of July
Arnold, CA– There will be plenty to do this Fourth of July weekend in the Mother Lode.
Starting today in Arnold, the 30th annual Ebbetts Pass Independence Day Parade is happening at 10 am.
The Lake Don Pedro Fireworks show will be Sunday night at 9:30 pm on Bonds Flat Road. The fireworks display can be viewed from the Blue Oaks Recreation Area and the Don Pedro Visitor Center.
On Monday, July 4th, the Calaveras Community Band will present a free concert in Turner Park in San Andreas. The show will be from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Also on Monday, Twain Harte will have its 4th of July parade at 11:30 am presented by the Twain Harte Business Association. From 9 am to 2 pm there will also be a variety of activities at Meadow Plaza including live music, food booths, face painting, a clown, a bounce house and a dunk tank.
Christian Heights Church is hosting the 19th annual “Family Fourth of July Celebration” this Monday from noon to 10 pm. Free activities for the whole family include carnival rides, games, food and a waterslide. There will also be a large patriotic laser light show that starts at 9:15pm. Christian Heights is located at 13711 Joshua Way in Sonora.
Columbia will celebrate Independence Day with its annual parade at noon followed by music by the Great Mother Lode Brass & Reed Band. The event at Columbia State Historic Park is sponsored by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and will also include kids events. There will be a greased pole climb and bucket brigade, watermelon and pie eating contest, egg relay race and egg toss and a tug-of-war competition.
