Sonora, CA– Tuolumne County authorities recovered over $9,000 worth of stolen tools and equipment.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday, November 21, Deputy Mike Pershall arrived on the scene of a burglary in East Sonora.

Unknown suspects had cut a hole in the roll up door of a shop and taken a large amount of equipment. During the investigation, Deputy Pershall uncovered several pieces of evidence that led him to a possible suspect, 55-year-old Terry Paul Keever of Tuolumne.

Deputy Pershall and additional deputies went to Keever’s residence where suspected stolen property was discovered in Keever’s vehicle.

While questioning him inside the home, deputies found more evidence and placed Keever under arrest for possession of stolen property.  Sgt. Jeff Wilson says some of the stolen items included cordless hand tools, saws and several hundred drill bits.
