San Andreas, CA — Preliminary plans and design have been approved for a new San Andreas Courthouse.
The State Public Works agency has looked over the proposal and has given a stamp of approval. The 44,600 square foot facility will house four courtrooms and be located just north of the government center.
Plans also call for creating 278 parking spaces for court visitors and staff.
Construction is scheduled to begin in spring of 2011 and be completed by fall of 2012. The project will cost the state an estimated $43.5 million.
