Busy Weekend For Yosemite
Yosemite, CA — It will be a busy weekend at Yosemite National Park.
Park officials say all campgrounds on the reservation system are full. There are a very limited number of first-come-first-served campsites also available throughout the park.
The Half Dome cables are not in place this Memorial Day weekend. It is due to the amount of snow that still remains at the upper elevations.
Glacier Point Road opened at noon today, but Tioga Road will remain closed through the weekend.
Visitors within the park should be aware of high water level and fast moving water in the Merced River and other streams. With the increasingly warm weather, snow in the high country continues to melt and fill the Merced River.
