Calaveras Supervisors Approve Budget

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors have approved a preliminary budget for next fiscal year that calls for $144 million in overall spending.
This is a 1.7 percent decrease from the current fiscal year.
“It’s been a distressing process and the county’s had to make significant cuts,” say Jeanne Boyce, County Administrative Officer. “14 employees lost their jobs.”
Boyce says the budget will be reassessed once the state budget is approved.
