Cogdill Looks Forward To Natural Resources Summit
In flawless timing with Tuesday’s announcement from Sierra Pacific Industries about re-opening the Standard Mill, California State Senator Dave Cogdill is inviting members of the community to a Natural Resources Summit on Friday October 1st.
The 10th annual Natural Resources Summit at the Motherlode Fairgrounds will be an informative day of discussion with local, state and national experts on forestry, water management and climate change.
Two of the invited national speakers are Mark Rey, the former Undersecretary of Natural Resources and Environment in the US Department of Agriculture during the Bush Administration as well as Patrick Michaels, Climatologist and American Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute.
Senator Cogdill along with other community leaders and representatives plan on attending the Summit.
The day before the Summit, there will be a Forestry Tour on September 30th from 9am – 3pm, with a motor-coach taking participants to and from the fairgrounds.
The Natural Resources Summit itself is a four hour event from 9am – 1pm, with a continental breakfast served beginning at 8:30am. Thanks to the generosity of TuCare (Tuolumne County Reliance for Resources and Environment), there is no cost to attend the event.
Advance registration is recommended for both the tour and the Summit. Call (209) 599-8540 to register for the event.
