Teen Drowns At Lake Camanche

San Andreas, CA – A 17-year-old from Stockton was the victim of a Sunday evening drowning at Lake Camanche.
The Calaveras County Sheriff Department’s Dive Team was dispatched at 6:40pm to an area between Lakeside and Camanche Campgrounds. The divers were looking for Majed Suliaman Ali, who had gone missing in the water approximately 15-20 minutes earlier.
The Dive Team could not locate Ali Sunday evening, but picked up operations this morning. The drowning victim was located shortly before 9am.
