Update: Crash Impacts Traffic On Highway 108
Update at 11:05am: The CHP reports that Highway 108 is back open in both directions following this morning’s multi-vehicle crash.
Update at 9:10am: The CHP reports that thankfully there were no injuries resulting from the crash on Highway 108 near Peaceful Oak Road. The closure is due to all of the rock that came from the overturned big rig truck that needs to be cleaned up from roadway.
Update at 8:51am: Caltrans reports that Highway 108 near Peaceful Oak Road will be closed until around 11am. Traffic is being detoured onto Mono Way.
Original story posted at 8:10am: Sonora, CA — There is a notable crash on Highway 108 near Peaceful Oak Road.
The CHP reports that multiple vehicles are involved, including a big rig truck that has overturned, and dumped gravel onto the highway. Travel with caution and be prepared for activity in the area.
