Sonora, CA — While crews have Independence Day off, the rest of the week is busy with planned road work.

Highway 108/49 shoulder work Monday through Wednesday within a 20-mile area between Highway 120/Chinese Camp and the Tuolumne/Calaveras line may stall traffic for ten minutes at a time. Slated hours for the work is from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Shoulder work on Highway 120 along a seven-mile stretch between the Stanislaus/Tuolumne county line and Green Springs Road may have similar impacts Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. There is also ongoing shoulder work between Ferretti Road and Hopper Street from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. that might bring momentary delays.

Overnight paving on Highway 120 scheduled Monday through Wednesday could create minor stop and go waits from the Tulloch Road Crossover to Rushing Hill Lookout Road between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Calaveras Cone Zones

Slated striping operations along Highway 12 under a moving closure could create ten-minute delays Monday and Tuesday between Highways 49 and 88 from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

On Highway 26, anticipate possible ten-minute traffic stops due to tree work on Tuesday and Wednesday between Paloma Road and Campo Seco Turnpike from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Highway 49 tree work could bring similar waits Monday through Wednesday between Shaws Flat Road and the Calaveras/Amador line from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, pavement repairs between Clifton Lane and Copello Drive may cause momentary traffic hiccups from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
