Stewardship Council To Meet Re Kennedy Meadows
Modesto, CA — A meeting that could help decide the fate of Kennedy Meadows will take place this afternoon at three o’clock in Modesto.
According to Ty Wivell, "The sub-committee of the full Stewardship Council Board (the Planning Committee) is going to make a recommendation to the full Stewardship Council Board that Tuolumne County receive fee title to Kennedy Meadows and that the Mother Lode Land Trust hold the conservation eastment with the caveat that the R.C.D. (Resource Conservation District) is involved in the partnership and managment and future of Kennedy Meadows maintaining the facility in a traditional way."
The Stewardship Council Board must have a consensus decision that would then be passed along to P.G.& E. for approval. Once that is accomplished the final decision on the fate of Kennedy Meadows would be decided by the California State Public Utilities Commission.
