Supervisors Will Discuss Budget On Tuesday
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors have set aside time Tuesday to give CAO Craig Pedro direction in preparing the 2009/10 final budget.
The Supervisors approved a preliminary budget a couple of months ago, but must now deal with additional funding cuts handed down from the state. Notably, the state has decided to borrow against local property tax dollars. The Supervisors are scheduled to submit a final budget during the last week of August.
The Board has also set aside time to hear a presentation on local student Jamie Smith’s senior project to hold a soap box derby event in the community of Tuolumne.
In Calaveras County, the Supervisors will discuss transferring seven acres of county land to the Administrative Office of the Courts for the purpose of courthouse construction.
Tuesday’s meetings begin at 9am in Sonora and San Andreas.
