Big Meadow Fire Reaches 2,200 Acres

Yosemite, CA — A prescribed burn that got out of control in Yosemite National Park has grown to 2,200 acres.

Fire Information Officer Gary Wuchner says approximately 500 firefighters are on scene of the Foresta Big Meadow Fire, as well as three helicopters, four air tankers and 24 engines.

Residents of Foresta and campers in the Crane Flat Campground were evacuated Wednesday afternoon, and there continues to be no access allowed to those areas.
