Earthquakes Reported Along Eastern Sierra

Bridgeport, CA — The eastern Sierra has experienced several earthquakes over the past few days.
A series of quakes was reported Friday evening by the U.S. Geological Survey in the Owens Valley area, with the largest one estimated at 5.2 magnitude (6:15pm). It was approximately seven miles south of the community of Keeler.
The most recent one of significance was this morning at 4:37am when a 4.5 magnitude was reported in the same area.
Back on Wednesday a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred in the Owens Valley area, and it was followed by dozens of aftershocks.
