First County Furlough Period Set For Next Week

Sonora, CA — The initial Tuolumne County furlough period of the Holiday Season is scheduled for next week.
The furlough period runs from Monday through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are holidays for county employees.
According to Sheriff Jim Mele ALL emergency services (police, Sheriff’s Office, fire and CHP)will be active 24/7 throughout all furlough periods.
“If you have an emergency pick up the phone and dial 911. If you have a non-emergency call contact our office at (209) 533-5815 and a dispatcher will be on duty to help.
For those who need to register on their birthday, a clerk will be on duty but the front desk will be closed.”
