Cockerham Arrested On Burglary Charges

Sonora, CA — 28 year old Joshua Loy Cockerham was arrested and booked into the County Jail Friday evening by Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputy Oliver Imlach after he attempted to burglarize the Twain Harte Lumber Company.

At approximately 10:20pm Imlach discovered Cockerham trying to break into the business. Cockerham fled the scene.

Deputies were unable to apprehend him until they discovered him at the 7-11 market. The deputies found discarded clothing and burglary tools nearby.

Cockerham was also in possession of a Black Trek 3700 bicycle that had been stolen in an April burglary at Sonora Cyclery on Mono Way.

Cockerham was charged with burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. He remains in custody with bail set at $50,000.
