Woods Creek Body Identified

Sonora, CA — The body of the individual involved in that Friday morning accident at the Hwy 108-Stockton Rd. intersection has been identified as 22 year old Jon McElvy of Modesto.
The body was discovered at approximately 11am Monday.
McElvy´s eastbound white Nissan Altima crossed the center line and crashed into a rock embankment shortly after 8:30. The vehicle then hit the Yield sign at the intersection.
Witnesses reported seeing McElvy exit his vehicle stabbing himself in the neck. A large amount of blood was discovered in his car and his blood trail led searchers to the Woods Creek area.
