Sheriff Department Patrols To Continue In Twain Harte
Twain Harte, CA — Patrols in the downtown area of Twain Harte will continue this weekend by the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department.
Just last weekend narcotics detectives from the Sheriff´s Department donned patrol gear for a night in the area. The mission; eliminate drunk and disorderly problems in the downtown area.
Sheriff Jim Mele says that one individual was arrested for public drunkeness and three subjects hiding behind lumber at Twain Harte Lumber were cited for smoking marijuana. In addition a 15 year old female juvenile was arrested for violating the curfew ordinance.
Mele says the decision to patrol the area was initiated out of concerns expressed by Twain Harte citizens during a recent Town Hall Meeting. That direction was reinforced by those in attendance at Wednesday´s Twain Harte Rotary Club meeting which featured Mele as the keynote speaker.
Mele adds the patrols will continue.
