Early Fourth Of July Mother Lode Celebrations

Arnold, CA — While the fourth of July is not until Wednesday, many Independence Day activities took place this weekend in the Mother Lode.
Saturday morning the annual Arnold Independence Day Parade started at ten o´clock at the Arnold Byway. It proceeded through town and ended at the Cedar Center.
At Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys, an Independence Day Celebration got underway at 4pm. The night was capped off with the fireworks show beginning at 9:45pm.
Also Saturday evening, a free fireworks show was held at Pine Mountain Lake beginning at dusk.
And in Valley Springs, a fireworks show started at dusk over New Hogan Lake.
