Sonora Motorcyclist Killed Sunday
Sonora, CA — A Sonora man was killed in a Sunday evening motorcycle accident when he failed to negotiate a turn in his own driveway.
Sgt. Jim Oliver in the Tuolumne County Sheriff Department´s Coroner´s Office has positively identified Paul Deter as the deceased.
According to the CHP report, the 51 year old Deter turned from American River Drive West into his own Eel River Drive driveway, failed to negotiate a turn and was then ejected from his 2001 Harley Davidson. He was pronounced dead at Sonora Regional Medical Center.
C.H.P. Officer Mike Remmell says that alcohol may have been a contributing factor. An autopsy is pending.
