SCC Officer Wins Prestigious Award

Jamestown, Ca — An officer with the Sierra Conservation Center has been presented the Correctional Officer of the Year Award from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
The prestigious award, given to E. John Popke, is handed out yearly to only one officer in the state. Popke received the award at a ceremony held recently at the Sierra Conservation Center. On hand to present, was the Under Secretary from CDCR.
