O.E.S. Director Praises Real Life Emergency Response

Sonora, CA — Standing before the Board of Supervisors Tuesday, Tuolumne County Director of Emergency Operations Steve Boyack had the opportunity to praise the many agencies involved in the tour bus accident on Hwy 108 in Soulsbyville Friday afternoon.

Boyack cited the professionalism of the Highway Patrol in assuming the role of the lead agency. In addition he praised Tuolumne County EMS, Tuolumne County Fire Department, CAL FIRE, the Sheriff´s Department, Tuolumne County Ambulance, Tuolumne County O.E.S., the Sacramento-Sierra Chapter of the American Red Cross and Caltrans.

The driver of the second bus, 53 year old Agusto Laguno of Pittsburgh, CA, was the most seriously injured with severe leg injuries. A total of 70 LDS campers were on the two buses returning to Fremont from the High Country.
