High Speed Chase Ends In Crash
Jamestown, CA — The CHP and the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department were involved in a high speed chase that reached speeds of 100mph during the one o´clock hour this morning.
A Sheriff´s deputy noticed a vehicle that had been reported as stolen pulling out of Chip´s Chevron parking lot in Jamestown. A chase ensued and after a passenger exited the vehicle and escaped, the driver was ejected when the 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer hit a dirt enbankment on Hwy 120 west of O´Byrnes Ferry Rd.
CHP Officer Tom Wills states the unidentified driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was subsequently ejected. The individual suffered major injuries and was lifeflighted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
