Calaveras Board Considers General Plan Amendment

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday and consider making an exception to its moratorium by granting a general plan amendment to a project in Valley Springs.

On the agenda is an item for a general plan and zoning amendment for a commercial project near Highways 12 and 26 in Valley Springs.

The board passed a ban on all zoning and general plan amendments in December of 2006 while the county works on its outdated General Plan.

The project applicant is asking to change the zoning from Rural Residential to General Commercial.

Three other public hearings on the board´s agenda have been continued to a later date.

The board meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Calaveras County Government Center in San Andreas.
