Four Valley Residents Arrested On Numerous Drug And Weapons Charges

Sonora, CA — Four non-Mother Lode residents were arrested Thursday by the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department on a number of charges.

At approximately 10:20pm Deputy Paul Speers was on routine patrol in the area of Sierra Motors in Jamestown when he a spotted a westbound purple four-door Mitsubishi with no license plates exceeding the speed limit on Hwy 108 near the Rawhide Rd. intersection.

Speers made contact with the occupants and discovered one of the passengers, 34 year old Erica Michelle Moore of Modesto, had two misdemeanor warrants. She was immediately arrested.

When backup deputies arrived the vehicle was searched. On the rear floorbound they found a baggie of methamphetamine along with four bags of marijuana. In the center console was a loaded .45 caliber handgun. In addition a whole cache of construction/roofing equipment and tools were found with an estimated value of $2,000. Deputies quickly discovered the tools had been stolen in Modesto a week ago.

All four occupants denied any knowledge of any of the items in the vehicle.

Moore´s bail was set at $35,000 while Calhoun had his bail set at $25,000. llegal alien Randolfo Vasquez of Modesto had his bail set at $25,000 as did 21 year old Amy Lynn McCurdy of Modesto (not pictured).

All four were charged with possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of stolen property.
