Mother Lode Braces For Continued Stormy Weather

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Mother Nature is set to hit the Mother Lode with another storm over the next 24 hours.

The National Weather Service is predicting one to two inches of snow at the 2,000 foot level and as much as three to six inches at the 3,000 foot elevation.

Also predicted; south to southwesterly wind gusts in excess of 40 miles-per-hour over exposed ridges.

These gusts will create areas of reduced visibility due to blowing snow, sleet or freezing rain.

The expected precipitation will taper off to scattered showers by Thursday morning. The week´s third storm could bring additional snow to the lower elevations Thursday night into Friday.
