Sale of Forest Land Plan Revised

Sacramento, CA– The proposal to sell off parcels of California´s forest land for the sake of school funding is being revised.
With the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act law expiring this year, the Bush Administration is looking at a new way to find funding for rural schools.
The plan has been revised to sell more than 79,000 acres in California, down from the original numbers. The proposal is being reviewed by government officials on Capitol Hill.
