Vandals Take Joy Ride In County Truck
Sponsored by:
Jenny Lind, CA — Employees of Calaveras County´s Rock Creek Landfill arrived at work Wednesday morning to find someone had broken out of the front gate by using a county truck to ram it down.
The California Highway Patrol says vandals cut through a fence and drove their vehicle onto landfill property to steal 70 gallons of gasoline.
After almost getting stuck in the mud while breaking and entering, officers say the thief found a county truck with the keys in it and proceeded to torpedo the main gate to get out.
The Sheriff´s Department is handling the investigation.
