Plenty Of Things To Do In Calaveras This Weekend
Calaveras County, CA — Spring is here and as usual there are plenty of things to do in Calaveras over the weekend.
Calaveras County will host its annual fly in and airport day at Maury Rasmussen Field Saturday. $5 will get visitors a 15 to 20 minute plane ride. Proceeds benefit the Young Eagles Program. The day will also have entertainment and food that will help fund local non-profits.
The Home, Garden and Recreation Show will take place Saturday at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. Master Gardners will be on hand to answer questions and there will be a crafters corner.
Reggae on the Mountain Micro Brew Fest also happens on Saturday at the Bear Valley Mountain Resort. Live reggae music, pond skimming and skiing competitions will complete the day. Bear Valley closes for the season Sunday.
Saturday is also the 7th Annual Festival of Wine, a fundraiser for Mark Twain St Joseph´s Hospital Foundation. Shops, galleries, and of course wineries along Main Street in Murphys will host wine tasting and hors d´oeuvres. A silent auction will take place at the Native Sons Hall. Tickets are $30.
